In Plain Sight explores the embodiment of “Blending” as a naturally occurring algorithm defined by Aranda and Lasche as being one of repetition, camouflage, and negotiation. This work contains transformative observations of the algorithm in it’s most mundane state into formalist visuals using tools like Grasshopper, Processing, the Adobe suite and traditional illustration and prototyping techniques.

The design processes and multimedia exploration was compiled into a design research Mega-zine (too large to be a simple zine and too cheaply assembled to be a book). This project was an exercise in many technical skills and collaborative skill sharing between multiple disciplines. I learned to make chainmail (can you believe)
