Planetary guts is a multimedia data sonification project featuring a CD and trackbook with explanatory visualizations. An experimental sonar-synth sound, the two featured tracks enumerate trends in data of volcanic eruptions from year 0CE to the present.

Dynamic duochrome risograph visualizations present earth as a living planetary body; relating space and time to geological-music that pushes beyond cultural perceptions of planetary stasis.The project subverts the visual language of conventionally trustworthy information sources using an organic zine-inspired design. It invites questioning the validity of data and the ways in which it can be subjectively interpreted across mediums.
